ORANGE, Calif. (February 5, 2008) – In the bedroom, bath, study or den—virtually anywhere you can imagine a fireplace—the new Merit™ Plus Series Direct-Vent Peninsula Fireplace (MPDPF) can be included in home plans without using much floor space. The three-sided, see-through configuration provides fireplace enjoyment from multiple rooms and delivers a striking architectural statement.
Sharing the same demure footprint as the Merit Plus Series See-Through Fireplace, the MPDPF adds another angle to maximize the volume-to-view ratio. Its compact 35"-wide by 22"-deep three-sided design is the smallest offering in the industry, yet it boasts the largest viewing area and flame presentation for its size.
The MPDPF has an efficient, heater-rated direct-vent design that increases warm air distribution for exceptional supplemental heat. The optional blower kit helps circulate the warm air into the room for maximum comfort, and a Millivolt or electronic ignition system offers quick and reliable start-up, even during a power failure.
A deluxe log set features fine, natural details that look like real wood whether the fire is on or off, and brickaded interior panels provide an authentic brick look. The fireplace is also finished with a powder-coated painted surface to resist scratches.
Additional options include StyleView™ door designs for a customized look and polished brass or brushed stainless accessories for added elegance that can complement the décor of any room.
The MPDPF will be available for purchase in summer 2008 and it will also be on display at the 2008 International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida, February 13–16, at booth W2159.
